A New Word in China: “Sexual News Reporters"

Global Times, a mouthpiece media under
the auspices of the People’s Daily,
recently published on its website
a set of photos for a news report.
It was about the execution of female inmates,
to “reveal the greatest darkness in the world".
Netizens later found out that the pictures were
all taken from a western porn film “Lethal Injection."
The joke by the Chinese Communist Party(CCP) official media
has provoked public criticism in China and overseas.
A foreign media source reveals that vulgar photos and
news reports have flooded the websites of
the CCP mouthpiece media.

On August 6, Global Times published a set of photos
on its website.
It alleges it shows an execution carried out in the USA.

A young woman, after being injected with some liquid,
died in a painful struggle.

It was followed by massive online reproductions
by other CCP mouthpiece media.
These included web versions of Xinhua News Agency,
of the People’s Daily, and of the Guangming Daily.

The photos went viral on the internet in China.

Some netizens reveal that the pictures are actually
screen shots from a porn film “Lethal Injection."

The CCP-run media fraud has shocked the public.

It has evolved into a fact that one official media
“created misformation", while many helped “spread rumors".
Critic Lin Zixu says that this is no strange thing for the CCP.

Critic, Lin Zixu: “The CCP official media have always
produced and fabricated such shoddy news.
This is a discovered case, yet we don’t know
how many are those remaining undiscovered.
Someone has said that in the CCP’s newspaper,
the only reliable data is its date, all the rest is false."

What are the motives for the CCP official media
displaying the photos about executions in the USA?
Outsiders say, by “exposing the dark side of the world",

the CCP tries to cover up the world’s criticism of
its death penalty system in China.

UK’s Daily Mail reports that “Convicted criminals
in China can be put to death for 55 capital crimes,
ranging from theft to crimes against the state."

“Such is the huge number of executions, they were
turned into a television show six years ago."

Lin Zixu: “This official news report was exactly
based on the CCP’s reporting principle.

That is, attracting readers by using porn,
while silently demonizing the USA.
Also, by doing this, it helps to defend
the CCP’s death penalty system."

This is not the first world-class joke that
the CCP has made.
In February 2012, the website of Xinhua News Agency
reproduced a collection of photos from People.com.cn.
It was entitled, “police all over the world
carrying out porn-purging campaign.”
Someone later found out that the photos were
all model images from the Vogue Italia in 2006.

Global Times and Xinhua News Agency have both
removed the photos from their official websites.

The issue has aroused media attention in the world.

Hong Kong’s Apple Daily calls it a ridiculous farce.

The Voice of America mocks that the CCP “seems
to be showing the world its extraordinary entertaining ability."

Deutsche Welle remarks that such a “joke" is
an occasional inevitability.
It teases that the CCP mouthpiece media have
already learned techniques of “using porn to propagate"

David Bandurski, editor of China Media Project website,
thus coins a new word, “sexual-news reporters".
He spoofs that the mouthpiece media just want to
quit their jobs, and to adopt other roles.

Deutsche Welle states that on August 7 local time,
the Xinhua News Agency website was found full of
vulgar photos on “naked street-running",

“love affairs", “beautiful butts",
and the like.

The Global Times was found to be similar on its home page,
with a “latest" collection of “breasts photos".
