10月11号,《大纪元》新闻网独家报导,前重庆市委书记、中共政治局委员薄熙来已被秦城监狱正式收押。报导说,10月7号下午3点左右,位于北京北苑的“北京航空总医院”戒备森严,在一群秦城监狱狱警的看押下,薄熙来在这里进行了全面体检,这表明薄熙来已经被正式收押。

据了解,“北京航空总医院”是秦城监狱的合作医院,而秦城监狱因关押中共权贵和中国最著名的政治囚犯而闻名。

大赦国际:强拆激发社会不满

国际人权组织“大赦国际”10月11号发表报告说,“强制拆迁”已在中国影响数百万民众,并成为引发民众不满的最大原因,和威胁社会及政治稳定的因素。

报告说,中国地方政府在与房地产开发商的交易中,通过征地和卖地来试图抵销巨额债务,报告还指责部分中国地方官员利用强拆卖地,实现经济增长,以达到升官的目地。

“大赦国际”对40件拆迁个案进行了详细调查后发现,其中9起因住户抗议或抵制强拆造成“死亡”, 一名70岁老妇人甚至被“推土机活埋”。一些反抗强拆的居民被当局处以“劳教或监禁”等刑罚。

“大赦国际”高级研究主任尼古拉‧达克沃斯说,公民的“住房权”是人权的一部分。中共政府签署了联合国人权公约,而“强拆”是违反国际人权法规的。

美国会报告:中共与人权要求脱节

“美国国会–行政部门中国委员会”(Congressional-Executive Commission On China 简称CECC)
10月10号公布年度报告,讨论中国的人权状况与法制的发展。报告说,随着中国人民的要求不断增加,中共政府满足这种要求的能力和愿望与之进一步脱节。在过去的一年里,由于缺乏基本的自由,加上官员滥权,中国民众举行示威的数量前所未有。

报告认为,中共官员更关心“维稳”和保持现状,而对全国各地正在发生的基层民众要求改革的呼声则并不在意。

《环时》批评国民党遭炮轰

中共喉舌《环球时报》10月11号发表题为“美化当年国民党政权是公然撒谎”的评论,文章抨击当年的国民党“腐败到骨子里”、“它不败,天理难容。”等,这个评论在新浪微博遭到大量网友重炮轰击,讥笑为“百步笑50步”。

有网友评论说,“美化当年国民党政权,其本质是老百姓对当权政府的彻底失望。”还有网友批评《环时》是“无耻的魁儡报纸。”

Bo Xilai Officially Taken Into Custody

On October 11, Epoch Times exclusively reported that
former party secretary of Chongqing Bo Xilai was officially taken into custody in Qincheng Prison.
The report said that around 3:00 pm on October 7,
General Hospital of Beijing University of Aeronautics located in Beijing Beiyuan was heavily guarded.
Taken into custody by a group of Qincheng prison’s police,
Bo Xilai took a comprehensive physical examination.
It indicated that Bo has been formally taken into custody.

Its understood that General Hospital of Beijing University
of Aeronautics is the cooperation hospital of Qincheng prison.
Qincheng prison is known as imprisoning communist
dignitaries and China’s most famous political prisoners.

AI: Social Discontent From Forced Demolitions

On October 11, Amnesty International (AI) published a report
on how compulsory demolitions affected millions of Chinese.
It has become the biggest reason triggering public discontent
and instability factors threatening society and politics.

The report said, when China’s local governments dealt
with real estate developers, they tried to offset the huge debt through land acquisition and land sales.
In order to get a promotion, some local officials sold lands
through compulsory demolitions to achieve economic growth.

AI conducted a detailed investigation
on 40 demolition cases.
It found that it “caused death” in 9 of them,
because tenants protested.
Even a 70-year-old woman was buried alive by bulldozers,
in one of the cases.
Some residents who resisted demolitions were detained
in labor camps by the authorities to impose a penalty.

Senior Research Officer of AI Nicholas Duckworth said
that the citizens’ “housing right" is a part of human rights.
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP)
signed the UN Convention on Human Rights;
“demolition behavior” violated
international human rights laws and regulations.

Chinese Communist Party Splitting?

On October 10, US’ Congressional-Executive Commission
on China (CECC) published its annual report.
The report discussed the development
of China’s human rights situation and the law.
The report said that with the increasing demands
by the Chinese people, the abilities and aspirations of the CCP are split to meet such requirements.
In the past year, because of the lack of basic freedom,
together with officials’ abusing their power, the China had an unprecedented number of demonstrations.

The report points out that CCP’ officials are more concerned
with upholding stability and maintaining the status quo.
Officials paid no attention to the requirement for reform,
coming from grassroots level all over the country.

Criticizing KMT, Global Times Refuted

On October 11, CCP’s mouthpiece Global Times issued
the article, “A Blatant Lie to Beautify Kuomintang’ Regime."
The article criticized that the KMT had become corrupted
“to the bones," and “if it was undefeated, God wouldn’t allow."
This comment has been laughed at by many netizens
on Sina weibo, ridiculed as “50 Steps to Laughter".

Netizens wrote, “Beautifying KMT in and of itself means
people are disappointed by their government.”
Many netizens claimed, the Global Times
is a “shameless puppet newspaper."
