RMB 900 Million of Jiannanchun State-Owned Assets Gone, Zhou Yongkang Implicated

Workers for Jiannanchun Group staged mass rights
defense protest during August this year, and continues.
‘Jiannanchun’ is a famous Chinese liquor brand,
it’s manufacture located in Sichuan province.
The protest triggered around 70 employees
who were members of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), to denounced the CCP.
On the eve of the 18th National Congress, clashes
between the regime and civilians has risen again.
The company’s Party chiefs and local CCP officials
pocketed RMB 900 million during early restructuring.
Zhou Yongkang was rumored to be one of these officials.

Now, the winery employees are being forced to give up
their original stakes to the CCP-controlled management.
In despair, thousands of employees stood up
to protest. What fate awaits Jiannanchun?

In August, Qiao Tianming, president of Jiannanchun Group,
announced they would raise money from employees.
Employees were required to sign a civil trust and
have to claim they are voluntarily to do so.
It was resisted by all the factory staff, who believed
that the promise was a one-sided agreement.
Employees said that signing up amounts
to transferring their original stakes at the original price to Jiannanchun management.

Mr. Wan, worker representative, Jiannanchun Group:
“On August 15, we were required to study managerial decision, and sign the promise, but we all rejected it.
On August 20, the management ordered us stop
production, to continue the study until we sign.
We protested it and have filed a lawsuit."

As early as 2003 and 2004, Jiannanchun carried
out the alleged “tangible asset restructuring”.
Afterwards, Jiannanchun’s 69.54% stocks
were held by Tongsheng Investment company.
Yet, Tongsheng’s shareholders include Qiao Tianming
and over 100 other managerial executives.
The local public described Jiannanchun’s transformation
as “appalling proof of devouring state-owned assets”.

After restructuring, Jiannanchun’s
RMB 900 Million tangible assets are gone.
The employees’ original stake value rose from RMB 9,000
to RMB 59,000, from a previous RMB 50,000.
By contrast, Qiao Tianming reaped wealth as high as
RMB 2.6 Billion, with RMB 300 Million annual increase.

Informed sources from official sectors revealed that
the winery actually has 500 invisible shareholders.
These covert figures, holding the majority of winery
stocks, are either powerful officials or wealthy people.
Reportedly, among them are 571 local senior CCP officials,
including Zhou Yongkang, Sichuan’s ex-Party chief.

The workers held a sit-in protest at the gates of the factory.

They continuously petitioned to provincial and
municipal departments, but have faced many obstacles,
Qiao Tianming is a member of the CCP
controlled National People’s Congress.
On September 27, the protest escalated after
some workers were assaulted by the police.
At the scene, crowds besieged two unlicensed
police cars, and held three policemen hostage.
Local CCP authorities dispatched hundreds of police
to take back the policemen and police cars.

On August 22, about 70 employees who were
CCP employees applied to the CCP Central Organization Department to denounce the CCP.
They claimed loss of confidence in Jiannanchun’s
top management, and in the CCP.
The application letter was signed and had their fingerprints.

Local CCP authorities sent a large police force
to threaten these employees who have quit.

Mr. Wan: “This is mainly because they’ve really lost
confidence in the Party committee of Jiannanchun.
Its Party chief and Discipline Inspection Commission
secretary have both been notorious for adulterous affairs.
About 70 people quit the CCP,
who had been members for years.
Sichuan’s media all evade the issue, and
there’s no media who have reported it yet."

Li Dayong, Executive Director of Global Service Center for
Quitting the CCP, congratulates this group quitting the CCP.
Li Dayong says that the public are increasingly
discerning the CCP’s wicked nature.
In various forms, the regime has always
bullied and exploited Chinese civilians.
All legal ways to seek justice, including petitioning,
have just become CCP’s tactics to crack down on them.
The civilians are now forced to the end of their tether.

The only way out for the Chinese now is to
disintegrate the CCP, Li Dayong concludes.
