【新唐人2014年05月05日讯】英媒：中国经济超美是数字游戏
针对“世界银行”日前发表的所谓﹕中国经济总量，可能将在今年赶超美国的最新数据，英国《金融时报》和《经济学人》分别发表评论说，中国经济在很多方面还有很长的路要走，所谓“赶超”美国可能只是一个数字游戏。
《经济学人》说，通过把GDP按照市场汇率转为货币的方法，来比较中、美两国之间经济水平差距，中国经济仍然比美国要小43%。
《金融时报》5月2号也就同一话题发表评论文章说，中国经济“超车”是一个数字游戏，从人均数据来看，美国要比中国富裕5倍，而且绝对数据基本没有揭示中、美两国在医疗、教育、环境等方面的差距。
潜逃的地产大亨曾伟将返港受审
香港《南华早报》5月4号报导，据知情人士透露，逃亡美国的大陆地产大亨曾伟，将在几周之内被押回香港受审。
曾伟大约3年前因涉嫌一桩数十亿港元的贿赂案，面临指控而逃亡。
据报导，曾伟是大陆地产开发业大亨，外界盛传他是中共前国家副主席曾庆红的儿子。
“六四纪念研讨会”北京召开
5月3号，一些大陆人士在北京举行“六四纪念研讨会”，探讨“六四事件”对中国的影响，呼吁国际社会和中共当局继续调查“六四”真相，并合理解决遗留问题。
据《美国之音》报导，参加会议的有在“六四惨案”中失去子女的母亲，和在事后被判刑的人士，以及失去大学教职的老师等，他们在发言中表示，虽然时光流逝，但伤疤并未愈合，“六四”不能淡忘，也不可回避。
报导说，会后“天安门母亲”张先玲遭到了警察的盘问。
港人湖南祭拜李旺阳被扣押
5月4号，多名香港人士前往湖南邵阳“六四”受害者李旺阳墓前祭奠，被当地警察带走扣押，在场的湖南民运人士欧彪锋和香港有线电视记者等人，也一起被带走。
据欧彪峰在“推特”上发出的消息，当天中午12点半左右，他们一行9人，到湖南邵阳李旺阳墓前准备烧诗集和布条悼念时，警察突然出现，阻止他们，并把他们扣在陵园办公室长达几小时。据了解，目前，欧彪峰已被拘留。

The British Media: It’s a Game of Numbers That China’s
Economy is Overtaking the U.S
The World Bank recently published that China’s economy is
likely to overtake that of the United States this year.
The British FT and The Economist respectively commented
that there is still a long way to go for China, and the catch-up
might be just a game of numbers.
The Economist said by converting GDP into a single currency
(dollars) at market exchange rates, China’s economy is still
43% smaller than the U.S.
The FT’s review article on May 2 about China’s economy
overtaking the U.S. said that it is a game of numbers.
It said that the U.S. is five times richer than China using
per capita data;
but the absolute basic data did not reveal the gap in health,
education, or the environment between the U.S. and China.
Real Estate Tycoon Returned to Hong Kong For His Trial
On May 4, Hong Kong South China Morning Post reported
that real estate tycoon Zeng Wei who fled to the U.S. will be
escorted back to Hong Kong for trial in a few weeks
Zeng Wei fled three years ago on suspicion of bribery worth
billions in Hong Kong.
Zeng Wei is mainland real estate development tycoon and also
known as the son of former Vice President Zeng Qinghong.
June Fourth Memorial Seminar is Held in Beijing
On May 3, some people held a Tiananmen Memorial Seminar
in Beijing to explore the impact of the June 4 incident.
They called on the international community and the Chinese
authorities to investigate the truth of June 4 and resolve the
remaining issues.
According to the VOA report, the meeting attendees include
mothers who lost children in the Tiananmen massacre, and
dismissed university faculties and teachers, etc.
They said: “We can’t forget or sidestep the June 4 problem;
although time has passed the scars have not healed.

Hong Kong People Detained For Honoring
Li Wangyang in Hunan
On May 4, several Hong Kong citizens visiting the grave of
June 4 victim Li Wangyang in Hunan were detained by police.
Others including pro-democracy activist Ou Biaofeg and Hong
Kong Cable Television reporters were taken away together.
Ou Biaofeng posted on twitter that when the 9 people were
ready to burn poetry and cloth to mourn at 12:30 pm, local
police came and detained them in the cemetery office for
several hours. Ou Biaofeng is still being detained.
