Will the U.S. Discard China Again?

The disagreements between China and the U.S. have grown
bigger recently over issues of disputed lands between China
and neighboring nations over China’s trade policy.
The U.S. also excluded China in some trade agreements.

But the U.S. action made the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)
develop close ties with Russia who is currently sanctioned.
The World Street Journal says based on history, China often
did well when the U.S. actively participated in China’s affairs;
And when the U.S. discarded China, China often had troubles.
Please see the report.

The WSJ published an article on May 29, indicating China’s
history textbook say the May 4 movement in 1919 forced the
Chinese government to refuse to sign the agreement at the
Paris Peace Conference, stopping Japan seizing Qingdao City.
But the textbook doesn’t say that Japan’s occupation in
Qingdao lasted till 1922.
Japan truly returned Qingdao to China after the U.S.
co-operated with England and China to put pressure on Japan
at the Washington Conference in 1921.

The report says U.S. president Richard Nixon decided to use
the conflict between China and Russia to break the Communist
bloc in the 70s’.

From then on, China started to open its door to the world,
and truly started to make progress.

The report also says the China and Japan war in 1931,the
Japanese invasion in 1937, and the Chinese civil war in the
late 1940’s brought severe impacts on China.
But the U.S. didn’t do anything due to its own economic
situation and the war weariness of U.S. society.

Zhang Jian, China issue researcher in the U.S. indicates it is
common for the U.S. to consider its own economy.
But the U.S. policy certainly has a huge impact on China,
because the U.S. plays a leading role in the world, and
other countries follow it.

Zhang Jian: “If the U.S. sets aside China issues, or boycotts
China, China will lose a lot on economy and bilateral trade."

The U.S. has actually shown the trend
of discarding China in the economy.
The U.S. has established three new world trade agreements;
Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement, Transatlantic Trade and
Investment Partnership, and Trade in Service Agreement.
But none of them involve China.

Zhang Jian: “After the U.S. let China into the WTO, the U.S
realized that it was being cheated by the CCP.
The CCP didn’t fulfill its promises on policies including
improving human rights condition.
The CCP only takes the benefits."
As the U.S. companies are threatened in China, now the U.S.
uses this cold treatment to discard China.

The WSJ says the U.S. is currently “isolating the CCP from
the world main market", indicating that the U.S. doesn’t
allow China to lead its economy and interest in the world.
In fact, the CCP has leaned towards Russia.
Russia has been sanctioned by the western world and the U.S,
after it annexed the Crimea.

The CCP not only allows the Russian president to visit China
with a high key event, but also offered a timely $400 billion
trade agreement gift.

Zhang Jian, “China’s interest is based on damaging Chinese
peoples’ interests. The interest only benefits the CCP."

Zhang Jian says the CCP never has a strategic partner
longer than 10 years.
History proves that the China-Russia relationship won’t
last long either.
China and Russia have never truly gotten along well.

A Russian warship fired for “several hours" on a Chinese
freighter and sank it in February 2009.
The same year, Russian top officials forced a container
market in Moscow run by Chinese merchants, to shut down.
They seized billions of dollars worth of goods
from Chinese merchants.
Hundreds of Chinese people were forced to leave
Moscow and Vladivostok in December 2010.

Chen Pokong, a political commentator in the U.S. wrote
an article, saying China has been invaded and bullied by
Russia in history, and the CCP today is playing a tragic
role by asking for trouble.
In order to uphold the one party dictatorship, the CCP is
determined to get close to Russia and against the U.S.
It’s damaging the nation and peoples’ fundamental interests.
