CCP’s Version of Public Opinion Poll before Two Sessions

The Chinese Communist Party(CCP)’s two annual sessions
are nearing.
Transition of the CCP’s top leadership five-year tenure
will be arriving soon.
At this critical moment, the CCP has stepped up its control
over true public opinion, releasing its official version of the public opinion poll.
Analysts say official sessions change very little each year.

The only difference this year is the upcoming CCP
leadership’s reshuffle and the increase in power grabbing.

The CCP’s 5th Session of the 11th National Congress
and the 11th Political Consultative Conference
will be held in early March in Beijing.

People’s grievances, views and constructive ideas
are inundating websites.

CCP media mouthpiece, People.com.cn, recently conducted
a survey on hot topics about the regime’s two sessions.
The highest ranking topics were “social security”,
“income distribution” and “social administration”.
The topic, “Price regulation” dropped to the10th ranking
from its 5th place in 2011.
“Anti-corruption” for a clean government fell to the 7th place
from last year’s 3rd in the ranking of hot topics.

Founder of the site, Rightscampaign.blogspot.com, Hu Jun,
says these hot topics are merely a formality for the regime.
The CCP never truly resolves the issues although
the public appeal each year on the eve of the two sessions.

Hu Jun: “The CCP definitely won’t resolve these problems.

The only thing those officials can do is levy
heavy taxes and grab money.
The officials attending the sessions and talking about
livelihood issues is just for show.
Each year, the two sessions are held just for a formality.

Because none of the deputies are elected by the people,
the officials hold no public voice.
They just eat and drink and raise their hands there,
and then return home.”

Some netizens criticized the official survey for not listing
sensitive issues that people are most concerned about,
such as: forced demolitions, repression of petitioners,
internet censorship, monitoring, the CCP’s political system.

Cyber writer, Jing Chu, says a survey of real public opinions
may encounter CCP’s crackdown.

Jing Chu: “There seems to be no company existing in China
who can conduct true public opinion polls here.
They have no way to survive in China,
unless they fit in with the official lines and lie.
If such a company voices true public views,
it will probably be a target of an official crackdown."

Jing Chu says it’s unrealistic for the public to rely on
the CCP’s two sessions to solve problems.

Jing Chu: “The two sessions are purely a display,
like a vase, or a puppet.
The so-called ‘deputies to the people’ are a group puppets.
They are entirely deputies to the bureaucrats.
They are never candidates winning people’s electoral votes,
but got their seats through the officials’ black-box deals."

Hu Jun says the two sessions show no annual change.

This year is different due to the CCP’s top leadership
transition in the second half of the year.
Hu Jun expects intensified power-grabbing.

Hu Jun: “The (CCP’s) leadership transition is arriving soon.
The infighting is intensifying, strangling maybe more brutally.
That’s why the topic gets more attention—people like seeing
this “Dog eat Dog" situation.
With exposure of the inside story, it’s getting very heated.
So it’s time for the officials to focus on grabbing power."

Hu Jun says the CCP’s history is full of internal bloodshed.

Living within its dictatorship system, no one feels safe.
According to Hu Jun, things will get ever more heated later.

Hu Jun: “Everyone knows that no one feels safe
inside this system.
After Wang Lijun axed Wen Qiang, Wang became just
another Wen. Who may be the next Wang Lijun then?
I advise those foremost thugs of the CCP to sober up.
Anyone among them could become the next Wen Qiang.
They should sober up as soon as possible,
desert the evil system and quit the CCP.”

In recent years China has been ridden with mass grievances
and outbreaks of nationwide mass protests.
The only way out for the CCP is for it to give up its power,
returning it to the people.
Otherwise the CCP will bring ruin upon itself, says Hu Jun.
