Confucius Institute Rejected,The Secret Spread of
Communism is Revealed.
On May 18 Toronto District School Board voted to postpone
the agreement with the Confucius Institute.
The American Association of University Professors recently
criticized the Confucius Institute for undermining academic
freedom in the United States and called for repeal or a re-
negotiation with the Institute.
Overseas critics noted that the Chinese Communist Party
(CCP) is spending huge amounts of money to establish the
Confucius Institute to secretly export communism, which
has finally been identified.
The CCP has lost its investment and gained nothing.
Before postponing the cooperation agreement with the
Confucius Institute, Toronto District School Board received a
threatening letter from Hunan Provincial Department of
Education and Confucious Institute Headquarters in Beijing.
Canada’s Globe and Mail reported the letter said if the plan
is put on hold, bilateral relations will be seriously affected.
A few days ago the American Association of University
Professors sent a statement to nearly 100 US universities
to cancel or re-negotiate their agreements with the Confucius
Institute to safeguard academic freedom.
These professors believe that letting the CCP make policies
and guidelines in US universities on employment, supervision,
courses scope and topics of seminars compromises objective
independence of universities, teaching staff and academics.
University of South Carolina Aiken School of Business
Professor Xie Tian, “It is an obvious warning about the CCP.
I think the CCP is the biggest loser in the entire process.
It gained nothing from the huge investment.
It wanted to export its evil communism via the institute but
people have seen through it.
It is in a dilemma whether to stay or withdraw.”
Former Canadian Security Intelligence officer Michel Juneau-
Katsuya spoke to Radio Canada International.
He said that Western national security organizations suspect
the Confucius Institute is also used to gather intelligence.
Michel feels the CCP setting up Confucius Institutes in
schools means the spying is focused on future generations.
Radio Canada International quoted Canadian Association of
University Teachers Executive Director Jim Turk interviewed
by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation about courses in
universities and schools.
He believes that all courses offered by universities and
school districts should be under their own control.
It is not good for them to be impacted by
foreign governments or any third party.
In the Confucius Institute classroom, some topics
cannot be touched upon.
These include Tibet, Falun Gong, the 1989 Tiananmen
incident, the Taiwan issue and so on.
Retired Professor Steven Levin visited Beijing in 2009 to
negotiate on behalf of the University of Montana.
He spoke about the Confucius Institute with China’s National
Office of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (NOCFL).
Steven told NTD that NOCFL asked them to do lots of things
they did not want to do.
These including many songs, games and other so-called
Chinese cultural projects.
The Confucius Institute is sponsored by NOCFL.
NOCFL was founded in 1987 by the CCP, with the function
to establish Confucius Institutes around the world.
According to Confucius Institute’s official website, by 2013,
440 Confucius Institutes and 646 Confucius Classrooms were
set up in 120 countries and regions, with all the funding, books
and teachers from NOCFL.
NOCFL also offer scholarships to foreign students and scholars.
Deputy Leader of the International Education Program in
British Columbia, Canada revealed the school district received
1 million Canadian dollars worth of books and teaching aids
and an additional100,000 in funding every year.
Former Professor of History Liu Yinquan, “ The CCP exports
communism to its outer edges in the past.
As communism has now gone bankrupt, it is not feasible to
export communism on the surface.
The CCP has to use the signs of Confucius to export its stuff.”
Commentators raised questions that 300 million children
in China could not attend school due to poverty in 2006.
Why does the CCP spend taxpayers’ money to set up
overseas Confucian Institutes ?
