Beijing Activist Hu Jia Attacked By Plainclothes Gang
On the evening of July 16, the Beijing activist Hu Jia posted on
Twitter that he was assaulted by a gang of unidentified persons.
They drove off to make their escape immediately afterwards.
Hu Jia’s nose bridge is broken and his glasses were smashed to
pieces, so he did not see the plate number of the car.
Hu said that the incident happened 100 meters from the eastern
side of Chaoyang District subway station.
A bloody-red cross is now on the white fence on the
side of the street. The attackers were very professional.
The police didn’t find the attackers’ car information from
the surveillance video after Hu Jia made the report.
Two Mass Suicides Happened in Beijing in One Day
July 16, two petitioners from out of Beijing collectively
ingested pesticide to commit suicide.
According to mainland media reports, 7 people ingested
pesticide and fell to the ground with foaming of the mouth at the
door of Beijing China Youth Daily club in the morning.
The report said that the seven people are from Jiangsu province
They came to Beijing to petition because of a relocation
compensation issue last year.
They were forcibly detained at a secret black site by local police.
The petitioners’ fellow citizen Ms Zhu stated that :
the seven people’s real estates including restaurants,
supermarketsand more their 400 square meters house were
forcibly demolished last November 28th.
All their belongings have been under the ruins with nowhere
to claim compensation.
According to reports, the seven people are no longer in a life
threatening condition after being sent to hospital.
Chinese officials have not yet responded to the incident.
But the incident has caused great concern in the media and

to commit suicide in the police station at Fuyou Street.
According to Radio Free Asia quoted witnesses saying that the
suicide attempts, two men and three women are from Guizhou Province.
Their conditions are unknown after they were sent to hospital.
Chinese Political Prisoners are a Big Concerned to the
International Community Again
July 15, U.S. based non-governmental human rights
organization, China Political Prisoner Concern published the
latest list of 50 detained Chinese political prisoners.
In the meanwhile, the Chinese political prisoners’ death
toal is at red disaster level.
According to Radio Free Asia report, " China Political Prisoner
Concern director Ms. Grace said that:
there are three reasons to set up Chinese political prisoners’ death
warning at red disaster level.
Firstly, two Chinese political prisoners were tortured to
death by the Chinese authorities in less than six months;
Secondly, many political prisoners’ health is getting worse
in prison. They can die at any time.
Thirdly, many political prisoners’ medical parole and bail
applications according to their health condition were denied
by the authorities.
