Media Questioned Xi Jinping’s Mystery Absence

Chinese Communist Party (CCP) vice chairman Xi Jinping
didn’t attend a scheduled meeting with Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt on Oct 10th.
Instead, Wang Qishan met with Thorning-Schmidt.

After journalists questioned the reason for Xi’s absence, foreign
ministry member Hong Lei said at a regular news briefing that
he mentioned that leaders from the state council would meet
with Thorning-Schmidt.

Although foreign media continued to ask,
Hong Lei still stressed that he stated last week that
“leaders from the state council will meet with
the Danish prime minister.”
Some foreign journalists directly asked the reason of Xi’s
absence, is it because his back hurt or he had an accident?
Hong Lei answered he had told everyone everything.
Journalists also asked if it was true according rumors that
Xi and He Guoqiang, member of Standing Committee
had a car accident and both were injured.
Hong Lei declined to make further comment.

China’s Economy in deepening Slowdown, No Solutions

New Zurich Times newspaper said that the Swiss Bank
predicted by the 2nd quarter this year,
China’s economy would grow by only 7.5% and
the 3rd quarter will continue to decline.

Reuters said that mainland China has no immediate solution
to stimulate external demand.

The report said that about 200 million jobs rely on export,

analysts expect China’s economy to have its weakest year
of expansion since 1999.

On September 10th, Reuters published an article saying

this also meant that Beijing’s policy-maker is facing double
challenges of internal and external economic weakness.

German Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reported that
China’s economic situation is even more complicated.
Industrial growth is increasingly slow,
however prices rise continuously.
Analysts warn that the monetary policy control through
several interests rate cuts to stimulate the economy is reduced.

The central bank in mainland China has cut interest rate twice.

This is to implement low-interest loans, in order to promote
investment and consumer spending.

However, the report said that new data shows the economy
continuously declined.
In August, industrial production rose 8.9%.

Sounds good, but lower than expected as it is the lowest month
since the recession in May 2009.
Foreign trade isn’t as good as in the past.

587 New Fingerprints to Support Wang Xiaodong

Since Wang Xiaodong, a teacher in Hebei province was
sentenced to 3 years in prison,
587 local residents openly support Wang with
their fingerprint on the petition form.

Wang Xiaodong’s home was ransacked by police in February,
then they took him away from his home.
Later police formally arrested him on the excuse of
finding some empty CD cases in his house.
Police said Wang Xiaodong produced Falun Gong truth
clarification materials.

300 villagers wrote joint petition letters and cadres in the
village stamped the letter officially.
They requested the authorities release Wang immediately.

The letter was sent to the Central government,
making the leaders very shocked.

The Epoch Times reported that after one Chinese Communist
Party (CCP) leader heard about Wang’s case, he also signed the letter with his fingerprint.
The leader said that he knew the CCP is finished;
he wanted to quit the CCP a long time ago.

Wang’s supporters who signed the letter said that more and
more people recognized the CCP’s evil nature and no longer believe what the CCP media said.
People are continuously standing up to say “no” to the CCP.
