【新唐人2012年12月12日讯】中国囚禁记者数量全球第三
总部设在美国的“保护记者委员会（CPJ）”，12月11号发表年度普查报告说，到12月1号，全球共有232名记者被监禁，其中，中国囚禁32人，是全球囚禁记者第三多的国家。土耳其和伊朗分别囚禁49人和45人。
报告说，这个数字刷新了1996年185人被囚禁的记录。
“保护记者委员会”说，这些国家滥用反恐法律和各种反国家罪名——例如叛国和颠覆——来对付批评尖锐的记者和编辑。
报告还指出，在中国被囚的记者中，有19人是藏族和维吾尔族人，他们因制作有关种族冲突的记录片而被问罪。
全美记者俱乐部 放映《自由中国》
据《自由亚洲电台》报导，12月10号“世界人权日”当天，美国华盛顿特区“全美记者俱乐部”举办了记录片《自由中国- 有勇气相信》内部放映会，影片主人翁之一的李祥春在放映会上作了演讲。
报导引述李祥春的话说，2003年1月，中共当局在他回中国探亲期间，以莫须有的罪名将他监禁三年，他在这期间历尽磨难。但最让他痛苦的是，中共当局以他病危的母亲作为要挟，要他放弃修炼法轮功。
这部片长50分钟的记录片，由《新唐人电视台》和“未来世界（World2BeProductions）公司”联合制作。影片通过两位法轮功学员的真实经历，揭露了中共当局多年来对法轮功学员的残酷迫害，以及活体摘除法轮功学员器官的真相。影片已获得美国“第45届休士顿国际电影节”评委特别奖等四个重要奖项。
停止镇压藏人﹗数千藏人纽约集会
12月10号，来自北美各地大约4千多名藏人，和他们的支持者，在中共驻纽约总领事馆和联合国大厦前，举行大规模示威集会，抗议中共政府对藏人采取的高压政策。有藏人代表进入联合国，递交了30万人签名的请愿信，要求联合国和世界各国的组织，敦促中共停止迫使藏人用自焚方式表达抗议的失败政策。
据《美国之音》报导，西藏流亡议会北美议员扎西朗杰表示，在国际人权日举行对在中共统治下的藏人的声援，是因为藏人为了西藏的自由、藏人的自由，抗议中共的统治，牺牲他们的生命。他说，在这关键的时刻，全世界的藏人、全球生活在自由世界的人们，有责任站出来支持西藏人民。
美国人权活动人士杨建利、陈破空、唐元隽等，也到场表示支持。

China Is The Third Worst Country To Imprison Journalists
On Dec. 11, Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) issued
a report saying that on Dec. 1, 232 identified journalists were imprisoned worldwide.
China held 32 of them, and was the 3rd worst jailer.
Turkey held 49, Iran held 45.
The report said that the 2012 figure surpasses the previous
record of 185 journalists imprisoned in 1996.
CPJ said that these countries make use of terrorism
and anti-state charges, such as treason and subversion.
It uses those tactics against critical reporters and editors.
The report said that 19 of the 32 journalists held in China
are Tibetans and Uighurs.
They were imprisoned for documenting ethnic tensions.
US National Press Club Screened “Free China” Movie
Radio Free Asia reported that, on Dec. 10, World Human
Rights Day, the National Press Club of Washington DC screened the film, “Free China: The Courage to Believe.”
Li Xiangchun, one of the characters in the film, gave a speech.
The report cited Li Xiangchun who said that, in January 2003,
the Chinese authorities arrested him during his visit with relatives in China.
He had been jailed for 3 years on trumped-up charges,
and suffered a lot in jail.
The most painful memory for him was that the authorities
blackmailed him by using his mother, who was critical ill.
The authorities forced him to give up practicing Falun Gong.
The documentary film is 50 minutes long, and is produced
by NTDTV and World2BeProdctions.
The movie tells true stories of two Falun Gong practitioners.
It reveals the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) brutally
persecuting and harvesting organs from live Falun Gong practitioners.
The movie won four awards including the Special Jury Award
at the 45th World-Fest Houston International Film Festival.
Thousands of Tibetan Supporters Gathered in New York
to End the CCP’s Suppression
On Dec. 10, over four thousands Tibetans and their supporters
from North America gathered in front of the Chinese Embassy and UN building in New York.
They protested against the CCP’s rule in Tibet.
Tibetan representatives entered into the UN building,
handing in 300,000 signatures.
The petition calls for the UN and world organizations
to urge the CCP to stop the policies of Tibet that are causing the Tibetans self-immolation.
Voice of America reported that Tashi Nangyal,
the member of Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, said that
this event held on World Human Rights Day
to support Tibetans who are under the CCP’s rule,
is for freedom of Tibet and the Tibetan people
who died protesting the CCP’s rule.
He said, at this moment, all Tibetans and people who
live in a free land, have a a duty to support Tibetans.
The US activists Yang Jianli, Chen Pokong,
and Tang Yuanjun participated in the event.
