Guangdong News Group Is Retaliated Against
21st Century Business Herald website was said to be
involved in the Communist central struggle.
Communist media Xinhua reported Sept. 12 that
the website, 21cbh.com had its license revoked,
but then changed to ‘under investigation.’
Critics believe this bizarre incident highlights the fierce
battle within the Communist central.
On Sept. 12, the Chinese Internet was widely reporting
that 21cbh.com was barred from all Internet sources.
In the evening, Xinhua also revealed, the website had its
website qualification withdrawn, its employees dismissed
and company registration canceled.
Many employees of its associated business, Money Week,
were taken away for investigation.
However, Xinhua’s release was quickly deleted and replaced:
‘Investigation of 21cbh.com will be conducted by a joint
investigation team tomorrow.’
Why did Xinhua quickly announce the ‘verdict’ while the
investigation is underway? Why did Xinhua change its tone?
The incident of 21cbh.com, belonging to Southern
Weekly in Guangdong, has drawn much speculation that
intense struggle is behind the scene.
Beijing politics watcher Hua Po tells NTD, Shanghai police
conducted the arrest and announced the dismissal of
21cbh.com, but, the Guangdong side believe that the decision
prior to a thorough investigation was too hasty.
Hua Po: “Guangdong side did not overthrow this case,
but intend to investigate. This is how a fierce game is presented."
Hua Po explains a major trend behind this case: Liu Yunshan
is trying to control the new social media, the Internet.
The Southern Weekly, headquartered in Guangdong, has
enjoyed relative freedom and thus is very substandard to
Liu Yunshan’s appetite.
This incident was a suppression conducted by Liu Yunshan
and Shanghai Party Secretary Han Zheng.
Hua Po: “I think it is a suppression of the new media by the
propaganda system dominated by Liu Yunshan.
I think this is an alternative opposition to Xi Jinping."
The deep reform group headed by Xi Jinping announced
the decision to engage in development of new media such as
the Internet on Aug. 18.
Hua Po analyzes, Xi Jinping’s decision imposes a big threat
to Liu Yunshan.
The new media is hard to control. In particular, the negative
coverage of Communist bureaucracy is a headache to Liu Yunshan.
Therefore, he attacked the Southern Weekly through Shanghai.
Hua Po: “It’s a lesson for the Guangdong Party Secretary
Hu Chunhua.
This is infighting. This shows it has been very intense."
As early as Sept. 3, Shanghai police arrested 8 people
from 21cbh.com, including the editor, on the charge of
‘news blackmail.’
21cbh.com is under the pro-Xi Jinping
Nanfang Media Group in Guangdong.
It was analyzed then, whether the ‘news blackmail’ is real,
it could be revenge from the Jiang faction against Guangdong
Province.
Earlier, Yangcheng Evening News of Guangdong published
a picture of a dying toad on an IV injection.
It was believed to allude to the dilemma of the former
Communist leader Jiang Zemin.
On Sept. 5, Guangdong Provincial Party Secretary
Hu Chunhua quickly hit back by announcing the investigation
of two officials of the Jiang faction.
The Epoch Times also reported that 21cbh.com was retaliated
against for various exposures of the corrupt shady Jiang faction.。
For example, the shady story of Shanghai Pharmaceuticals
Holding under the Shanghai SASAC (State-owned Assets
Supervision and Administration Commission);
exposure of the shady stock of CSM Group (China Science
& Merchants Venture Capita) under Jiang Mianheng,
Jiang Zemin’s son.
The 21cbh.com also suspected Jiang’s grandson, Alvin Jiang
was involved in Alibaba Group shares.
On Aug. 21, 21cbh.com revealed the chaotic trading myth
in Tianjin Bohai Commodity Exchange, which is considered
to be related to Politburo Standing Committee Zhang Gaoli,
another of the Jiang faction.
Up to the report of the evening of Sept. 14,
21cbh.com was still running and updating.
The future of the website has yet to be revealed.
