Hong Kong Falun Gong Practitioners Hold 14th Year Anti-Persecution Event

14 years ago on July 20th, 1999, Jiang Zemin initiated the
genocide persecution of Falun Gong, (also known as Falun
Dafa in Chinese) to eradicate the practice.
In the past 14 years, Falun Gong practitioners persisted in
their anti-persecution movement:
They revealing the truth of Falun Gong and have upholded
the principles of “Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance”.
In the meantime, Falun Gong has spread to over
a hundred countries worldwide.
Hong Kong Falun Gong practitioners who are direct
neighbors to those in Mainland China,
held a 14th anniversary assembly
with an anti-persecution march on Sunday (July 21st).
Let’s see the report from Hong Kong.

Held at noon at Kowloon’s Cheung Sha Wan Playground, the
assembly was opened by the performance of Tianguo Band.
David Kilgour, former Canadian Secretary of State (Asia-Pacific)
and a nominee for the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize,
attended the event, which was his first one in Hong Kong.

David Kilgour: ”We respect Falun Gong in Canada.

I’ve been in over fifty countries. Falun Gong is respected in
all of the countries where they are in.”

In the assembly, David Kilgour introduced his book “Bloody
Harvest: The Killing of Falun Gong for Their Organs” co-authored with David Matas.

David Kilgour: ”David Matas and I discovered about 41,500
organs have been taken from Falun Gong during 2001 and 2006.”

Lee Cheuk-yan, chairman of Hong Kong Alliance in Support of
Patriotic Democratic Movements in China and member of
Hong Kong’s Legislative Council, also made a recorded speech.
He said the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) brutal persecution
of Falun Gong for over a decade had become worse since Leung
Chun-Ying took over power in Hong Kong.

Lee Cheuk-yan: ”Recently we have particularly seen much
politically motivated violence against Falun Gong street booths.
The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) and
Hong Kong’s police also assisted with the suppression.
We are very worried Hong Kong may go backwards now.”

According to Chu Wanqi, spokesman for Taiwan
Human Rights Lawyer Group of Falun Gong,
Falun Gong had spread to 114 countries and regions.

Over 140 million have announced they quit the CCP and
its affiliated organizations.
This has marked significant progress of disintegrating the party.

Chu Wanqi: ”Reality has proved that Falun Gong survived
over the 14-year reign of terror.
We are not defeated by the CCP. Instead, the Party is now
falling into decay and disintegration.”

Multiple renowned Chinese activists made recorded
speeches in the assembly.
Hu Jia, a Beijing human rights activist, denounced the CCP
for its crimes against humanity of persecuting Falun Gong.

Hu Jia: ”It is a crime against humanity to force
a huge group of people into a living hell.
Falun Gong’s situation in China mainland is similar to
the Jews under Nazi Germany’s governance.
As long as you practice Falun Gong, you will be treated in
the same way that the Gestapo and the Schutzstaffel persecuted the Jews.”

Hu Jia also commented that the CCP are worst than beasts
in harvesting live organs from Falun Gong practitioners.

Hu Jia: ”Without doubt, live organ harvesting
can only be done with state power.
Criminal gangs are not able to fulfill such a systematic task.

In terms of Falun Gong’s allegations, this is an issue related
to a massive group instead of separate individuals.”

Only released recently, film director Du Bin was detained by
the CCP’s state security forces after producing a documentary
film revealing the darkness of Masanjia Women’s Labor Camp.
Du said, he simply did what a human being should do.

Du also said if he did not mention Falun Gong his film “Women
above Ghosts’ Head” would become completely pointless.

Du Bin: ”Falun Gong purely help others with their belief in
truthfulness, compassion and tolerance, guiding them into a
better spiritual life or at least pursuit of a better life.
Even after being abused or tortured in labor camps,

they are still able to retain a healthy and rational mind
regarding China and society. I deeply respect them for this.”

Hong Kong Youth Care Association is a front organization for
the CCP that has been consistently disturbing Falun Gong’s booth for the past year.
During the assembly, association members kept throwing
insulting words with a loud-speaker to interfere with the speeches, making people unhappy.

David Kilgour: ”They are the 610 office from Beijing operating
in democratic Hong Kong.
These people have no interest in the youth. They have no
interest in free speech or interest in the people of Hong Kong.
I guess they are there because they are paid a substantial
amount of money.”

Richard Tsoi, vice president of the Hong Kong Alliance in
Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements in China:
”Leung Chun-Ying has to be responsible for this.

He has introduced evilness to destroy Hong Kong’s freedom
and core values which we have been protecting.
Leung is definitely a big sinner of Hong Kong.”

Chu Wanqi said, she had watched video clips showing
members of Hong Kong Youth Care circled by angry residents after justice.

Chu Wanqi: ”We have seen Hong Kong people thundering at
association members against the disturbance of Falun Gong’s
booth and against live organ harvesting.
More justice acts of ordinary people prove that there has
been a nationwide trend of anti-persecution.”

Led by Tianguo Band, the parade of about 800 practitioners
started at 2pm and went to Tsim Sha Tsui Ferry Pier.
Many residents and mainland visitors were attracted by
the parade and took photos with their cell phones.
After watching the parade, some Mainland Chinese young
people gave credit to Hong Kong for its freedom.
