【新唐人2018年12月12日讯】川普总统周二（12月11日）警告，如果民主党不投票支持建设边境墙，他将利用军费筑墙以保证国家安全。
周二早上，川普就大篷车移民及边境墙建设问题连发多篇推文，敦促众议院少数党领袖佩洛西（Nancy Pelosi）和参议院少数党领袖舒默（Chuck Schumer）正视国家安全问题，同意拨款资助他的筑墙计划。
川普首先指出，尽管数千大篷车移民聚集美墨边境，但毕竟没能冲破边界大规模入境美国，目前他们或滞留墨西哥、或返回母国。美国边境执法人员和军队所做出的努力非常了不起。但是，如果有了边境墙，阻挡非法移民就会更容易，花费的资源也会更少。
川普表示，虽然政府已经新建并翻修了一部分边境墙，但资金还差很多。原因在于，民主党出于政治原因已经严重左倾，甚至不要边境安全。他们想打开边界放任何人进来，从而带来大量犯罪和疾病。
川普写道，他盼望与佩洛西和舒默会晤。民主党2006年曾投票支持建边境墙，他们做的很对。但今天，他们不再想要边境安全，而且不惜一切代价地反对。但是，墙必须建。人们还没意识到已经筑起或翻修了多少墙。如果民主党不投票保证国家安全，那么他将出动军队建设剩余的边境墙。民主党知道这有多么重要。

….People do not yet realize how much of the Wall, including really effective renovation, has already been built. If the Democrats do not give us the votes to secure our Country, the Military will build the remaining sections of the Wall. They know how important it is!

川普定于周二会晤佩洛西和舒默，并重点商议边境墙问题。川普此前已发出警告，如果民主党不对筑墙提供资金支持，他可能拒签下一财年的政府预算法案并让政府关门。
另一方面，佩洛西和舒默周一也发表了联合声明，声称川普很清楚国会不会批准他所要的筑墙资金，并把政府关门的责任推给川普，要川普不要让筑墙提议成为“两党达成协议的障碍”。
川普需要的筑墙资金是50亿美元，而民主党目前只肯提供13亿，远远无法满足川普的筑墙要求。
