Anti-Corruption Speech by Prince ling Liu Yuan

On the eve of Chinese New Year, Liu Yuan, polit. commissar
of Chinese Communist Party’ (CCP) General Logistics Department, gave a speech,
During his speech Liu said: “(I) am ready to lose my job,
but to carry out a life and death struggle against corruption."
At present, the more anti-corruption ‘struggle’ CCP carries out,
the more corruption there is.
What was Liu Yuan’s speech about?
Let’s hear the experts’ analyses.

Liu Yuan is a son of former CCP State Chairman Liu Shaoqi.

Sydney Morning Herald reported about his speech,
given on the Chinese New Year’s eve.
In his speech to the 600 officers Liu claimed that “corruption"
is life and death matter to the CCP and the army.

According to the report, Liu Yuan warned that “corruption"
in the military has been deeply rooted and widely spread.
To the extend that it threatens
the survival of the army and the CCP.

A witness quoted Liu’s words, “No matter how high a person’s
position or strong his background, I’ll not let him off the hook."

With less than 10 months to CCP’s 18th congress, the struggle
between CCP’s factions is reaching white-hot temperatures.

Wen Zhao (expert, China issues): “He vowed to fight against
corruption, there is a possibility that he targets specific groups.
Since he has said these words, he may want to check some
people, or he will take some actions next.
I think the possibility for this to happen
is quite high."

Liu Yuan is the political commissar of General Logistics
Department (GLD) of the CCP army.
This department is involved in land, housing, food,
financial and service-related matters.
The outside world believes,
that this is a very lucrative sector.

Liu warned CCP officers, in the military’s GLD the corruption
is “very serious, everywhere, and just at your fingertips."

Liu Yuan’s father, Liu Shaoqi, was a former CCP State Chair,
belonging to the Prince lings, like the current VP Xi Jinping.
Xi Jinping’s father was the former CCP’s VP, Xi Zhongxun,
and now Xi Jinping is speculated to be the next CCP leader.

Sydney Morning Herald reported that Liu Yuan is aiming to be
Central Military Commission’Vice Chair after Xi’s promotion.

Wu Fan, editor of “China Affairs", reminds us that Liu Yuan
and Xi Jinping’s fathers were persecuted to death by the CCP.
According to common sense,
they both should hate the system of CCP.

Wu Fan: “To get a position during the 18th congress,
this is not big enough.
He should walk with bigger steps. Xi Jinping should also
walk with bigger steps. Both have suffered bitterly.
To keep in mind that the CCP system is very unreasonable,
means to be a person of visionary.
If they can not do it this way,
it will be really a pity. “

Zhang Weiguo, editor of Hong Kong’s Trend magazine thinks
Liu’s declaring of anti-corruption war is to deceive the Chinese.
He analyzes that the so-called “honest officials" within CCP
are those maintaining the dictatorship of CCP.
If the system is not changed,
the corrupt officials will not fall.
Moreover, in this system, they are also very likely to join
the ranks of corrupt officials.

Zhang Weiguo: “In fact, no matter Xi Jinping or Liu Yuan,
no one is able to save the CCP. It is already rotten to the core.
Regardless of what Xi Jinping says,
it’s for his own political objectives.
The political objectives include both consolidating his power
and bringing down his political opponents.”

Zhang Weiguo pointed out that Liu’s ant-corruption speech
might be his personal idea.
If that is the case, placing it in CCPs centralized system can
only play the role of a screw, strengthening CCP’s authority.

The outside world noticed a recent so-called anti-corruption
actions in CCP military in 2005, when the deputy navy commander Wang Shouye was discharged.
