Hotfile网站被美国政府关闭

【新唐人2013年12月8日讯】继2012年MegaUpload，美国联邦法院判决Hotfile 最终要赔偿美国电影协会（MPAA）高达 $8,000 万美元，并下令Hotfile 必须使用版权过滤技术或者停止服务。

目前打开Hotfile唯一内容：
“As a result of a United States federal court having found Hotfile.com to be in violation of copyright law, the site has been permanently shut down. If you are looking for your favorite TV shows and movies, there are more ways than ever to get high-quality access to them on legal platforms.”

MPAA成员包括二十世纪福克斯、迪士尼、环球、哥伦比亚以及华纳兄弟等业界巨头。它们宣称90%的Hotfile存储档侵犯版权，几乎所有的Hotfile用户都在侵犯版权。

MPAA指控的主要理由为Hotfile以及MegaUpload等目前下载站的主流模式，即档下载次数越多上传者可获得越多的报酬。协会称这种模式一直在助长盗版行为的发生。
