Hong Kong welcomed the Year of the Dragon with a dramatic firework display over Victoria Harbor on Tuesday, the second day of the lunar calendar.
周二，农历初二，香港在维多利亚港，释放精彩烟火迎接龙年。

As crowds gathered on either side of the water to watch the annual display, the sky was illuminated by almost 40-thousand rockets in a 23-minute extravaganza made up of eight scenes.
群众聚集在维港两侧观看年度表演，近4万枚烟花照亮天空，23分钟的盛会，由八个主题景幕所构成。

Glittering fireworks of different colors created numbers, smiling faces and chrysanthemums – the flower which symbolizes the energy of the people of Hong Kong.
不同颜色的闪亮烟火，创造出数字、笑脸、和象征港民活力的菊花。

One of the scenes, titled “The Dragon in Flight," featured fireworks flying back and forth over the water like the movement of a dragon, symbolizing cultural and friendship exchange between the East and the West.
其中一幕，名为“飞龙在天”，使烟火在水上前后穿梭的特色，就像一条龙的动作，象征着东西方文化和友谊的交流。

The climax of the display was “Lung-lung Sound the Firecrackers" section, in which rockets of all colors flew continuously for 50 seconds to wish the former British territory all the best in the coming year.
达到高潮的一幕是“炮声龙龙”，彩色烟火连珠齐发50秒，祝福这个是前英国领土的香港，来年一切美好。
