因参与“茉莉花散步行动”被捕两年、音讯全无的广东从化异议人士梁海怡(网名“渺小”),最近传出消息说,已经被秘密释放,但仍然被监视居住,当局不准她与外界联系。

2月27号,在社交网站推特、微博及QQ聊天群,先后传出“良心犯梁海怡获释”、“感谢所有为梁海怡重获自由呐喊的正义之士”等消息。

《自由亚洲电台》引述广州维权律师唐荆陵的话证实,梁海怡在去年11月23号,被改为监视居住。

据了解,梁海怡于2011年2月20号,在哈尔滨市政府门前的广场上公开演讲,呼吁政府醒觉,还人民自由。但不到十分钟就被公安带走,之后被中共当局以涉嫌“煽动颠覆国家政权罪”刑拘。

据网友搜集整理,已知“茉莉花”集会受害者约有190多人,其中四川维权人士陈卫、浙江维权人士朱虞夫仍在狱中服刑。

湖南邵阳千人市府抗议

2月24号,近千名来自湖南邵阳石桥乡屏丰村的回族村民,聚集在邵阳市政府前,高举抗议横幅,要求当局严惩暴力征地、殴打村民的凶手,并追究相关官员的责任。

据《自由亚洲电台》报导,在长时间的等待后,邵阳市政府官员最后出面承诺,会尽快处理事件。抗议村民随后才离开。

据屏丰村回族村民在网上发布的消息,1月10号,近百名政府工作人员、警察、城管人员,携带警棍,开着警车,及几十台小车和救护车,前往屏丰村回民二组,强行征地。

期间双方发生冲突,多名村民被殴打,有人被打断肋骨、锁骨,头破血流,紧急送院救治。多名旁观村民也被打伤。

村民表示,一些受伤者现在还在治疗中,事件一直没有得到处理。

广东数百防暴警察镇压失地村民

2月27号,广东汕尾市东涌镇上千村民集会,抗议村官私卖土地,遭到数百防暴警察和特警镇压,村民多人受伤,数十人被捕。

据《中国茉莉花革命》网站报导,东涌镇20年来被非法倒卖的土地至少有200多亩。从去年开始,村民八次上街游行示威,要求严惩贪官、归还土地、查清村委的糊涂账,期间多次遭到镇压,年初被打伤村民还住在医院。

Jasmine Activist Liang Haiyi Secretly Released

Recently, news about Liang Haiyi was revealed on
the internet that she has been secretly released.
Liang, a Guangdong activist, was arrested for participation
in Jasmine Rallies, and disappeared for two years.
The news said Liang is now placed under house arrest,
but forbidden to make contact with the outside world.

On February 27, Twitter, micro-blogs and QQ chat
groups have circulated news about Liang Haiyi.
This included “prisoner of conscience Liang Haiyi released.”

“Thanks all righteous people who have
demanded the release of Liang Haiyi.”

Radio Free Asia quoted Tang Jingling,
a human rights lawyer in Guangzhou.
Tang confirmed that Liang Haiyi’s imprisonment
was changed to house arrest in November 2012.

Reportedly, in February 2011, Liang Haiyi gave a
public speech on the plaza in front of Harbin city hall.
She called on the authorities to return freedom to the people.
Less than ten minutes, Liang was taken away by the police.
Subsequently, she was detained and charged
with “inciting subversion of state power".

According to netizens’ collection, there are over
190 victims of Jasmine rallies across China.
To date, rights activists Chen Wei from Sichuan,
and Zhu Yufu from Zhejiang, both remain jailed.

Mass Protest Involving About 1,000 People in Hunan

On February 24, nearly 1,000 Hui ethnic villagers
from Pingfeng Village at Shaoyang, Hunan
province, protested outside the city hall.
They held banners, demanding the authorities
to severely punish the assailants who violently
occupied land and attacked villagers.
They also demanded the prosecution of
the relevant officials’ for their criminal liability.

Radio Free Asia reported that after a long wait,
Shaoyang’s city officials finally appeared.
They promised to handle the case as soon as
possible. Therefore, the villagers left the venue.

The villagers disclosed online that in January, nearly 100
people carrying batons arrived at the village in police cars.
They included government staff, police,
and urban management officers,
Dozens of cars and ambulances arrived at the
same time. They began to occupy land forcibly.

What followed were several clashes between the two parties.

Several villagers were beaten, with rib-cage and
collarbone smashed, or head broken and bleeding.
The injured were sent to hospitals for emergency care.
Some on-looker villagers were also wounded.

The villagers said that some of the
injured are undergoing medical treatment.
So far, the authorities have not handled the incident.

Protest of Over 1,000 Landless Villagers in Guangdong Repressed

On February 27, in Dongyong Town in Shanwei, Guangdong,
over 1,000 villagers staged a protest against village officials.
They were protesting against private resale of land.

Hundreds of riot police and SWAT officers repressed on-site
protesters, with several villagers injured, and dozens arrested.

Molihua.org reported that during the past 20 years, the
village officials have illegally resold over 200 mu of land.
Since 2012, the villagers have held eight demonstrations,
demanding stern punishment for the corrupt officials.
They also demanded the return of their land, and the
review of financial records by the village committee.
However, the authorities repeatedly repressed the villagers.

At the beginning of 2013, injured villagers
were still hospitalized under treatment.
