【新唐人2013年02月26日讯】中国国民党荣誉主席连战，25号上午与中共中央总书记习近平，在北京人民大会堂见面，26号，连战又将会晤去年底刚卸下中共总书记的胡锦涛。正值中共“两会”召开前夕中共高层异常繁忙的时期，连战在这一时间赴大陆访问，透露出什么样的信息？下面请随本台记者一起去了解。
《法国国际广播电台》引述权威消息说，连战这次访问大陆，是中共总书记习近平主动邀约，并不是透过国民党和共产党的“国共平台”。而且，访问团由哪些成员参加，也由连战方面全权处理，以显示对连战的尊重。
连战率领的台湾各界人士访问团成员涵盖国民党、亲民党、新党、无党联盟，还包括宗教领袖和工商界领袖等，近四十人。
习近平为什么在两会召开之前，提出这样的邀请呢？
时政评论家唐柏桥：“习近平他的政治动作比胡锦涛那个时候大。他想在两会期间或者是两会之前，向国际社会，尤其是全球华人传递一个信息：就是他有这个能力，好像建成一个和谐社会啊，两岸关系进行良好互动啊﹔或者是能够形成一种局面啊，各种党派共同促进啊，共商国事啊。他有这个算盘在里面，很明显。”
有台湾媒体认为，这次的邀访，是习近平对台抛出善意，可能开启两岸关系的新时代。不过香港《开放》杂志编辑蔡咏梅认为，这次邀访，中共“统战”的含义更大。
香港《开放》杂志编辑蔡咏梅：“习近平上台了，又是第一次新总书记，所以好像有点像两党的高层会面这样的。因为真的国民党主席马英九是不可能见的。所以就由名誉主席，以前当过国民党主席的。所以作为统战来说，他们认为是有很高的像征性意义。”
连战此行定调走春访旧，中华民国总统府发言人李佳霏22号也说，总统马英九对连战这次访问中国大陆，没有托付特定任务。
蔡咏梅：“连战选总统失败以后，作为一个失意的政客，他就经常跑中国大陆，借助中国大陆的优势。因为中共要统战，他对台湾才有一点影响力，否则他在台湾已经就过气了。连战有这个需要了，然后中国大陆要统战台湾，也就觉得这种人挺好用的。”
连战在2005年4月，以“中国国民党主席”的身份访问大陆，在同年8月卸任国民党主席，之后以“荣誉主席”的身份数次访问大陆。
唐柏桥：“在中国的历史上，过去的总书记，和现在的总书记地位差不多。但是美国不一样，美国总统他一退下去，就什么也不是了，他就是一个普通公民。所以这是中美文化上的一个差异。所以中共就拿这一点来蒙骗中国老百姓。认为连战就是台湾很有影响力的政治人物，实际上不是，他根本就是一个普通的台湾人。”
3月5号，中共人大和政协两会将正式召开。追溯政协会议的历史，开始于抗战胜利前夕，国、共两党为了建国而进行的谈判。中共夺取政权以后，1954年，政治协商会议的立法功能过渡给全国人大，从此政协成为统一战线组织。而统一战线，这个词一直到今天，仍然是中共对台湾战略的指导纲领。

Analysis Lien’s Visit To China
On February 25, Xi Jinping met with Lien Chan,
Honorary Chairman of the Kuomintang (KMT)
in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
On February 26, Lien Chan will
meet outgoing Chairman Hu Jintao.
The timing of Lien’s visit is sensitive, as it is just before
the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) two annual meetings.
What information can be exposed
from Lien’s visit? Let’s take a look.
Radio France Internationale cited sources.
They stated that when Xi invited Lien to visit, it wasn’t
through the official channels of the KMT, or the CCP.
In addition, Lien was able to choose the Taiwan
delegation, which shows respect towards Lien.
The Taiwan delegation includes more than 40 politicians,
religion leaders and business executives.
What are the reasons behind Xi’s invitation at
a time so close to the CCP’s two annual meetings?
Tang Baiqiao, current affairs commentator: “Xi is more
high profile in his political actions than Hu Jintao.
Xi wants to pass a message to the world
before and during the CCP annual meetings.
The message is especially for the Chinese people around
the world, in that he is capable of building a harmonious
society, and deepening mutual interaction across the Straits.
Also, that he is capable of forming a good situation;
of developing multi parties and to discuss the country’s
affairs together. Obviously, Xi has this intention.”
Taiwan media said that Lien’s visit was seen
as Xi sending an olive branch to Taiwan.
A new era for the Two–Straits maybe beginning.
However, Cai Yongmei, editor of Hong Kong’s
Open Magazine, said that Lien’s tour extended
the meaning of the CCP’s “United Front Strategy”.
Cai Yongmei: “Xi has taken office, and this is the
first time for him to be CCP General Secretary.
Thus, Lien’s visit seems to be likely a
CCP and KMT’s top level meeting.
The real Chairman of the KMT,
Ma Ying-jeou was not invited.
Thus, the honorary chairman, and former
chairman of the KMT came instead.
For Lien, this visit has significant symbolic meaning.”
Lien’s visit was described as a “Chinese
New Year visit and seeing old friends.”
On February 22, Li Chia-fei, Taiwan
presidential spokesperson commented.
Ma Ying-jeou didn’t assign any tasks for Lien’s visit.
Cai Yongmei: “Lien has failed a presidential election.
Being the loser, he often visits Mainland
China, in order to use China’s influence.
The CCP want to implement a
United Front Strategy by using Lien.
Thus, Lien has little influence on
Taiwan, otherwise he will be ousted.
Lien has his personal needs, while the CCP
has it’s own purposes to unite Taiwan.
Thus, the CCP thinks such a person is good to be used.”
In April 2005, Lien visited China as a Chairman of the KMT.
Since Lien stepped down in August 2005, he has visited
China many times, as an honorary chairman of the KMT.
Tang Baiqiao: “In China’s history, former and current
CCP General Secretary’s positions are similar.
In the US, it is different. Once the president steps down,
he no longer has any power, and he is an ordinary citizen.
This is the difference in culture between the two countries.
The CCP uses this point to deceive the Chinese people.
This it to give the impression that Lien is an
influential person, when in fact, he is not.
He is an ordinary person.”
On March 5, the CCP will hold National People’s Congress
(NPC) and Political Consultative Conference (PCC).
The PCC dates to prior to the
existence of the CCP in the civil war.
It was formed for negotiations between the KMT and CCP.
After the CCP gained control of China, they
transferred constitutional conventions to the NPC.
Since then, the PCC had become the
“United Front Strategy organization”.
The words “United Front Strategy” are still used today,
which is the CCP’s guideline policy towards Taiwan.
