In its latest move in a campaign of media crackdown the Chinese Communist Party—or CCP—has blocked the broadcast signal of Hong Kong-based Sun TV.
中国共产党(或称CCP)近来在一项对媒体镇压的行动中，对香港阳光卫视的播送讯号进行封锁。
Starting December 5, Sun TV headquarters began receiving calls from subscribers in the Mainland, complaining they could no longer receive the channel.
自12月5日开始，阳光卫视的总部就开始接到许多大陆的用户打来的电话，抱怨他们无法再收看到他们的频道。
Sun TV representatives have acknowledged their signal is being blocked in mainland China, and they don’t know why. They say Sun TV did not receive any warning or explanation from the Ministry of Public Security or any other arm of the Chinese regime.
阳光卫视的代表早就知道他们的讯号在大陆被封锁，但原因不明。他们说阳光卫视并未收到公安部或是中国政府其他部门所发出的任何警告或解释。
There is speculation the CCP censors decided to block Sun’s broadcast in response to its talk shows, featuring political commentary that’s increasingly critical of CCP rule.
根据推测，中国共产党的电视节目审查员之所以决定将阳光卫视停播，乃是针对该台在访谈节目中，一些对中国共产党统治日益不满的政治评论所做的特别报导做出回应。
Sun TV’s broadcast in Hong Kong has not been affected.
而香港当地的阳光卫视播放并未受到影响。
