Le Monde: Chinese Regime Faces Private Business Owners’ Resistance

On September 5, France’s Le Monde newspaper
reported that the Chinese Communist Party
(CCP) has faced resistance from “elite levels".

The article said that “elite levels" refer to owners of big
private companies who are becoming rich and powerful.
They dare to publicize their opinions openly on the internet.

Some business owners are relatively soft, but in order
to run businesses smoothly, they have to bribe officials.
Nevertheless, the public condemned them for their
colluding with officials, and earning ill-gotten money.

These business owners are very clear that once the political
struggle occurs, some will be punished by the CCP regime.
In July, Zeng Chengjie, President of Sanguan Real
Estate Group in Hunan Province, was secretly executed.
His is a stark example.

The article said that Zeng’s fate has sounded
alarm bells for private business owners.
The article cited Wang Shi, President of Vanke Real Estate.

Private business owners should not be satisfied with
doing their own business, and should express their opinion.

Wang Ying, boss of a Beijing investment
company agree with Wang Shi.
Le Monde reported that Wang Ying doesn’t think
Chinese businessmen are careless about politics,
nor do they bend power to secure their livelihoods.

Lawyer Wang Cheng Summoned

On September 6, Hangzhou lawyer Wang Cheng
posted messages on a Weibo microblog.
It reported that he was summoned by police,
who accused him of “subversion of state power".

Although Wang only has posted a few words,
it still drew netizens attention immediately.
One netizen “Xinghuobiliaoyuan", questioned
about the charge of subversion again.
Why is the CCP always afraid of being subverted?
How does an ordinary person subvert the CCP?

Beijing lawyer Zhang Kai posted
that this news made him sad.

Wang Cheng attended a public gathering on April 26,
and was later summoned by police in Hangzhou.
In August, he requested the Ministry of Justice
to publicize the qualification of presidents of the
Supreme and High Court above Provincial level.
Wang established the Legal Observation Group
after activist Guo Feixiong was arrested.

Hunan Police Close Four ‘QQ’ Social Networks

On September 9, police in Hunan Province
suspended four major QQ social networks;
“Hunan Clubhouse with Thought"; “Constitutional
Dream China", “SVTC-Baoqing" and “3.30 am".

According to Chinese Human Rights Defenders
in Mainland China, the four QQ social networks
are important information platforms in Hunan.
They had considerable influence in Hunan.

Netizens mainly discuss current
affairs and democracy issues.
“Hunan Clubhouse with Thought" and “Constitutional
Dream-China" have thousands of users. The other
two QQ network also have more than 500 users.
