【新唐人北京时间2020年02月01日讯】新加坡音乐创作人Alvin Oon于1月30日将新改编的防疫歌曲“Fight the Virus”上传到个人脸书，12小时内传遍亚洲。该曲改编自1965年发行的歌曲“沉默之声”（The Sound of Silence）。
歌曲开头便以“问题再次出现”（ Another problem’s here again）来形容武汉传出的“新型冠状病毒”。
该病毒被指和SARS病毒同种，很多人认为这次疫情是当年SARS的“二次爆发”。中共官方先是掩盖疫情导致局势失控，随后又掀起名为“防疫战”的政治运动，和17年前的SARS模式如出一辙。

歌曲“Fight the Virus”也提及，SARS依然深植人心，如今又出现“武汉病毒”扩散全球。除此之外，歌曲还描述了此次疫病的感染症状、传播方式及防疫措施等。
歌曲上传后，12小时内获多国民众分享，包含泰国、菲律宾等，中国也有人在微博分享。Alvin Oon又于当天发文，同意中国网友将歌曲翻译成中文版本。
Alvin Oon表示，感谢原唱者Simon & Garfunkel，并期许这首歌曲能成为全球性防疫歌曲，为受疫情影响国家的民众带来喜悦与希望。Alvin Oon最后呼吁，希望全球能跨越国界与种族，一起对抗疫情。
